Riedbahn closure from July 15: Special parking ticket offer for rail customers in the Worms Park+Ride parking garage

Commuters who use Worms main station as a hub in the direction of Mainz, Frankfurt and Mannheim during the Riedbahn closure can park at a reduced rate with a special parking ticket in the Park+Ride parking garage at the station. From 15.07. to 14.12.2024, the Riedbahn connection on the right bank of the Rhine will be closed between Frankfurt and Mannheim due to a general renovation. Long-distance and freight traffic will be diverted to the left bank of the Rhine. To make room for rerouted trains, frequencies will also be reduced on the routes on the left bank of the Rhine
Frankfurt - Darmstadt - Heidelberg (Main-Neckar-Bahn) and Mainz - Worms - Ludwigshafen (Ludwigsbahn) and train stops will be omitted. To make up for the closure of the Riedbahn, high-capacity regional express trains with up to 800 seats per train journey will be used on the Main-Neckar-Bahn and Ludwigsbahn during this time.

Worms main station will therefore become an important hub for connections to Mannheim, Mainz and Frankfurt. Anyone arriving by train from Worms main station can park conveniently in the Park+Ride parking garage directly at Worms main station. Parkhausbe
